YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Frequently Asked

Below, I have compiled answers to some of the most common inquiries we receive from our clients.

What area do you cover?

I am based in the South East and work across Surrey, Sussex, and West Kent. Please get in touch if you are just outside these areas, as I may still be able to help

How do I book a session?

Appointments can be booked via the contact form, email, or phone. I aim to respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible

Phone: 07817468078

Email: georgiewood@sky.com

Do you work alongside vets and other professionals?

Yes. I work closely with veterinary surgeons and other professionals where required to ensure a joined-up, horse-centred approach to each case.

Do I have to use all of your services?

No. You are very welcome to use any of my riding, coaching, or veterinary physiotherapy services individually, and I am always happy to work alongside the other coaches, therapists, or veterinary professionals already involved with you and your horse. My aim is to complement the support you already have in place and provide the best possible all-round care for each horse and rider partnership

What happens during a Physiotherapy treatment?

An appointment begins with a thorough assessment of your horse’s movement, posture and way of going. From this I create a prioritised list of areas to apply appropriate treatment. Advice on exercises, management, or rehabilitation may be provided to support ongoing progress.

What treatments do you offer?

Electrotherapies: H-wave & laser

Manual therapies: Massage, joint mobilisations, manipulation & stretching

How will information from the session be fed back?

Following each session, feedback is provided both verbally and through Equigate, a secure, free-to-use app that safely stores your horse’s information. Full clinical write-ups are uploaded, including findings, treatment details, and any prescribed exercises or rehabilitation guidance, allowing you to easily refer back to them between sessions. Where appropriate, I am also happy to liaise with your vet or other professionals to ensure a joined-up approach

What should I have ready for my appointment?

A safe, suitable area to work your horse, access to tack if ridden assessment is required, and your horse clean and dry where possible

I am not sure which service would best suit me and my horse - what should I do?

If you’re unsure, please get in touch. I’m happy to discuss your situation and help you decide which service, or combination of services, would best support you and your horse.
